Pivoting off our last literary feature, which was a fantasy review of a narrative fiction piece by budding author Jude Itakali, we’ll use this writeup to spell out the next part of this sub-initiative:
First important aspect to note, as hinted before, it’ll be a communal & participatory platform for consuming East African works of narrative fiction, complemented by other artistic disciplines. We’ll work with different Ugandan authors. We’ve already featured works by Jude Itakali, but merely in way of a review. At a more explorative level, we’ll work with other Ugandan authors like the aforementioned Samuel Sebbowa.

Our next step in unfolding this initiative will be an interactive engagement with both Jude & Samuel, which will be captured on video. That feature will serve an introductory role before we’ll adjoin a participant audience to the experience. In subsequent pieces, we’re going to lay out structures for this, initial schedules, requirements, along with more creatively penned reviews of these authors’ works. For our initial phase, we will feature works with exclusively Ugandan authors, but we’ll soon be open to other options within East Africa. Excited for what’s to come!
