Our co-founder Joe M. Watema—whose work we’ve chronicled as our creative lead and as an Afro indie music act under alternate identity KEZEROD—is unveiling a new facet of his artistic life.
For the past two years, Joe’s been writing and prepping a release strategy for his debut SciFi/fantasy novel “The Hindspellers”. In addition to being a release date announcement of the series’ opener, this piece also serves as an occasion for disclosing its arc summary:
In Maianjer’s first few moments on Planet Aztharem, he’s stunned to discover that it’s a reverse-reality of another planet called Thaudys; and that all events bound to happen in the future on Thaudys have already been experienced in a backward sequence on Aztharem.
Maianjer and a mysterious Aztharemite named Zelaurem manage to make the oddest journey of their lives to Thaudys, and Thaudysians revere them as god and prophet because of their accurate knowledge of what’s to come. But for how long can they fool an entire civilization, or worse yet, could they be the ones being fooled?
“The Hindspellers” is set for release on 3rd July 2026. It’s slated to be distributed through three means.
